450 stores and still smiling
To mark this milestone, Sue Ryder and their IT partner, K3 Retail brought together the original project team, volunteers and representatives from all stages of the project, including LS Retail, Verifone, Barron McCann and BMc Azurri to a lunch reception to celebrate the occasion.
New EPOS will drive more income
As Sue Ryder installed its final EPoS till system (Electronic point-of-sale) into its 450th shop at Camden on 21st February, it will give them much greater visibility of sales information and inventory within each store. This will have a dramatic effect on the organisation and help create more income to provide hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis and to support the online community which offers bereavement support.
Sue Ryder is a UK-based non-profit charity that sells both donated and new goods in its high-street stores across the UK, as well as its online site and its dedicated eBay channels.
New tech is the platform to growth
They need to raise £49.2 million to keep their services running every year. They receive income through statutory funding but still need to raise £19.9m through their shops and supporters. So it’s more important now than ever before that they have the best systems in place that can help their shops raise these vital funds.
This new technology will enable greater communication between departments and more clarity within pricing, something that can often become over complicated for charity stores when stock changes so rapidly from day to day. The partnership with K3 Retail allows them to support Sue Ryder with everything needed to manage their retail stores in a familiar and easy to use Microsoft environment and provides a platform to generate greater revenues from the charity shops.
