Sue Ryder & K3 win award for Retail Charity Partnership of the Year
Against tough competition, Sue Ryder & K3 were delighted to walk away with the Retail Charity Partnership of the Year at this year’s Retail Systems Awards.
In true partnership style, both Sue Ryder and K3 took to the stage to collect their award. David Borrett, Director of Retail, Marketing and Communications and Katy Faulkner, Head of Retail Operations represented the Sue Ryder team and Rod Barlow, Managing Director, and Ian Maclean, Sector Manager represented K3. Joining in the celebrations on the night were our retail charity customers BHF and Crisis and our Gift aid partner BMc Azurri.
A winning partnership
Back in 2016 with an ambition to develop into a more complex multichannel operation, Sue Ryder selected K3 Retail in 2016 as their technology partner to replace their old legacy system with a fit for purpose, up-to-date Microsoft Dynamics solution, hosted in the cloud by K3 Starcom.
The partnership to date has implemented a new warehouse management solution (WMS) and not content with replacing their old EPOS in all 450 retail stores in a record breaking nine months they have also successfully rolled out a ground-breaking lottery from Sterling Lotteries in all stores. This offers an innovative way for supporters to donate to the charity, for Sue Ryder to engage with their customers instore and encourage repeat visits as well as generate additional income. The lottery is now expected to exceed forecasts by more 5 times.
